Karen Johns was born in a small town in Louisiana. As a
teenager she was terribly shy. It wasn't till she attended
Louisiana Tech University that she suddenly realized she had
a lot to say. Today, she jokingly likes to say she's making
up for lost time.
She has always enjoyed drawing and was fortunate to have had
many opportunities to draw during her years at
Jonesboro-Hodge High School. She commissions her artwork and
customers are amazed by her photo-realistic portraits. Karen
is a very talented artist. She has a wide range of skills,
Karen currently
resides in West Monroe, Louisiana where she adds a touch of color and
originality to this waterfront community of lakes, swamps,
and bayous literally teeming with wildlife, cypress trees
and wildflowers. Whether it is her
startlingly realistic colored pencil drawings, her pen and ink
drawings of the shrimp boats and life on the Kemah Boardwalk
in Texas or her beautiful pastel landscapes, she truly loves to share her gift. Thank you for visiting her web site. Please take your time as you enjoy looking at some of her artwork.
